2008 Silverado Mobil 1 filter....

Does anyone know of an oversized Mobil 1 oil filter for a 2007/2008 silverado. I am currently running a short M1-113, and was wondering if there was a larger one out there?

I think you have the LS1 type engine if I am not mistaken, you might want to check out LS1.com

You just want to make sure it is not hanging too low. I remember reading some posts on that site about larger oil filters, hope this helps you out.

M1-113 is the correct filter. I'm sure others can chime in and suggest a larger filter ... there is plenty of room for a longer filter.
The OE AC PF48 is about 3.5" long... I'd bet the M1 113 is about the same.

Yes, it's a Gen III based design... '08s are Gen IV.

That filter is the same I currently use on mine. I have used the AMSoil one and from my memory it was just about the same length. The Delco ones have become a tad bit shorter over the years, not sure why...

With the superior media in the M1/K&N/AMSoil filter you're already ahead of the game as compared to most filters.
