I finally got around to swapping out the T-case gear oil on it today. I picked this Hyundai up about a month ago used. It did see rental service for half it's life and currently has ~42Kmi on the ticker (reason why I did the service). Out came the factory 70w90 gear oil and in went Walmart Supertech 75w90 synthetic blend gear oil. It wasn't too horrible a job, other than the somewhat awkward 'top-side' refill I did:

I kinda lost ambition after the T-case service, but here's the rear diff for anyone who cares. I'll get around to it next year I'm thinking:

Good documentation and pics!
Is the service interval different for the difs and transfer case?
If not I'd do them all now so you don't forget what you've changed and when...
Think of all the peg leg burnouts people did with that dif

That is normal for first fluid change. Next time do it at 10,000 then you can change them all again at 50K. All that wear metal was from the first 10K for the most part.

I might do another drain/fill some time down the road given I used ultra high quality Supertech 75w90

. It's easy enough to do.
