My sisters car. She comes down to visit a few times a year and one of them is for me to change her oil. This run was done just as she got to the house after a 2.5hr drive on I-40. She replaced the air filter about half way through this oil change and it ran an Ea15k09 oil filter. Not oil added, still on full when I checked it. She drives about 14 miles each way to work on the interstate.

Code:
This sample looks fairly similar to the last sample since there were only minor changes to wear metals. Silicon

is still a little high, though it did come down somewhat since last time. We doubt it's an issue, because if it were, metals

would be much higher than what you're seeing here. More likely it's an additive or sealer or something. If you haven't

checked your air filter in a while you could check it just to be sure, but really, it doesn't seem like an issue. No fuel,

water, coolant, or other contamination was found, and the TBN was fine at 2.9. Try 11,000 miles.

Man your sister could run 12-14k easy (I know there is no TBN). This oil/engine combo with her driving style are perfect for even longer drains. How long did it take her to run this OCI?

This oil was in for a year. She visits every year for an oil change and a few other times to come by and see her ole' brother. LOL

Not sure what happened and you can't edit if it let is go for a few minutes it seems. LOL

Plenty of life left in that oil. Shame to dump it so soon.

Get a TAN the next time; if it's reasonably low, then she could easily go every other year. On the oil that is; her visit frequency with you is a family dynamic I'm not privy to.

Or, get her into a decent dino oil and save some money; could easily go that same 10k miles annually. Sounds as though her driving patterns are not severe by any means.

ALL 2007 Corollas are 1ZZ-FE. The XRS 2ZR-FE Corolla was discontinued after 2006.

Yes, and the ZR-series engine didn't debut until the 2009 model year, with the new generation of Corolla.
