Looks good Pablo. Mostly break-in wear. The XL uses similar additives to the ASL/ATM. Boron and a bit of Moly. TBN is decent. Al is high but that could be from break-in. Oil thinned out but it's still a 20wt and didn't impact wear. Only the RL 5w-20 is resistant to shear but that is overkill for your needs.

Yeah it sheared a little, but didn't bug me much. The Si is a bit shocking.....never had a car with Si and Cu so high. I'm going to do another UOA two changes from now.

Oh yeah the OLM was at 15% (MM lights up)

2 secret Dyson tricks for you Pablo cause I loves you so much Bro!
1) at EXACTLY 10,000 miles on the ODY change out the OEM air filter with a cheapo fram. Ensure a good seal.

2)do not change the new (EaO 20?)thats in there now until 10,000 miles total on filter, it may be able to go longer use analysis to guide. Change oil whenever you choose but take the OF double the normal interval.

Enjoy.

Terry

Pablo, I am seeing that Terry is on to something good on the EaO filter and the longer in....the better workie

Large, Be careful too longie or it will restrict and then maybe bypass, just like most other filters on the market.

Got to fine the "sweet spot".

Better air flow with Fram? Why not K&N?

That's exactly what Honda says. When Pablo got the "Service B" reminder, it says to replace engine oil AND filter. Next time, it will give him "Service A," which is replace engine oil only.

Hmmmm...let me guess...the stock filter is a fiber-electrostatic like filter and let's in too much dirt if used for too long of an interval. The Fram is paper, and thus filters to a finer level over a longer interval.

Almost like Sr. St. Dyson is pulling my chain. I guess when I have some free time in 2007, I'll have a look see. Is there data that says the stock AF is faulty? Other than 44 ppm Si?

The current oil filter is a Fromda (my last one). Next change, which will be oil AND filter, I'll screw on a EaO.

You owe it to me, to screw on an orange can for comparison first.

Pablo, I am being dead serious and as usual for free for you.

Air filter change is not for Si or any perceived dirt issues.

FOr air flow increase to compensate for the NEEDLESS fuel dilute Hondas cause.

Shame on you using the FROMDA, I am calling AJ if he will turn that hearing aid up!

Interesting. I wish Amsoil made the EaA for the Ody - it's not like the car is rare. Maybe I'll get a WIX AF. Thanks - anything for an MPG boost. Maybe the <1% fuel is 0.8% adding to the lower visc.

Thats another pet peeve of mine, the OAI test results are too vague, check that battery against our Premium offering at our website www.dysonanalysis.com and KNOW a lot more.

I think the EaO 21 is a proper cross, they just have not listed it yet, could you confirm? I just installed one on our test 1.6 I4 Honda.

On this engine the Wix may be too restrictive, man you are hard to help.... Blessings Bro.

I thought EaO 13 was the oversized offering.

Terry, why not K&N or Fram AirHog? Would any of those suit Pablo's needs?

Wow...that's a new one...over restrictive air filter causing fuel dilution.

May as well get a K&N air filter, farrt can muffler and some stickers to make it go faster.

Ea013 filter should fit that Hot-Rod.

If fuel dilution and a rich fuel map are an issue for these Honda engines has anyone come out wioth a fuel map fix? I know I can get a product for my 1GRFE Toyota for about 200 bucks that allows custom fuel mapping( Not meant as Spam example ) . With all the Tuner rice boy demand with Honda certainly there is an equivelent. Heck I will probably get this gadget because I can use it on both my vehicles.
