2006 Honda Civic - Rear Shocks

Looking to replace rear shocks for 2006 Honda Civic, tires are showing some cupping
we owned a 2006 Honda Civic LX since new until it was totaled by an eager driver rear ending it.

there is an old recall/TSB for the (rear control arms?) that would eat tires prematurely, if your vehicle hasn't had that upgrade done, you will continue to get uneven wear on your tires...

and I would buy Honda OEM suspension parts, they are the highest quality suspension parts I have personally seen, all our other Honda Sedans never really needed any suspension work...

Bingo...

Though, being a nearly 20 year old car, it may also need rear shocks too. Or even springs.

Yes, car has over 200K and will check if rear control arms have 'C' stamped on them, suspecting it is a shock since it is prominent on one side.

Can tire rotation be a reason or no?

You could have a broken belt in the tire to make it wear unevenly. I would think if its suspension or alignment you could see it leaning in or out by looking at the back of the vehicle. If they are off quite a bit you can tell by looking at it.

Will share pictures of the tires, it is making a sound on one side like you are crossing rumble strips for 20-30mph speed range?
