2005 GMC 2500HD 6.0L what tcase fluid?

My nephew is coming for Turkey Day. Wants me to change his Tcase. Anybody know what fluid & capacity? Autotrak?

DEX III from factory. I just did mine with Mobil 1 ATF, and put DEX VI in the transmission. I have read here and other places that the new DEX VI is not reccomended for our t/cases. Mine took 2 QTS

what was the FF in the 06's when DEX III was phased out?

My Denali had DexIII in it. But it was the Borg Warner AWD Tcase with no clutch.
