You may be right about the Tacoma not being made in 1992. The truck looked very similar to my 98 Tacoma except auto trans and long bed.

Have used Amsoil Signatuure Series 5W30 and would like to try something more readily available.
I run GC 0W40 in my Audi A4. I like to European rating systems.
Oils under consideration:
Mobil1 EP 5W30
GC 5W30
Liqui Moly 2249 Leichtlauf Special LL 5W-30

Inputs are appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi there, StoicB7! I see you've have a few oils in mind, but have you considered trying Pennzoil Synthetics? We are currently running our Pennzoil Used Oil Analysis Program this year, and we'd love for you to participate. Through this study, you'll receive a sample of Pennzoil Synthetics to be tested in your vehicle along with complimentary and unbiased lab results from Blackstone. If you're interested in participating, please send us a private message for more details. Looking forward to your response! - Gena & The Pennzoil Team

I looking at the German Castrol A3/B4 oils and trying to make sense of the 100C ASTM D445 Viscosities and Pour Points:
-Castrol Edge 5W-30 A3/B4:12.1/-36C
-Castrol Edge 0W-30 A3/B4:12.2/-65C
-Castrol Edge 0W-40 A3/B4:13.1/-60C

I like the price and low pour point of the 0W40 but I have a concern regarding the viscosity impact on fuel mileage.

Would also consider utilizing Pennzoil Ultimate or Pennzoil Ultimate Platinum 5W30 if the terms of the Pennzoil Used Oil Analysis Program are favorable.

Thanks for everyone's input!
