2004 was a roll of the dice. The early Series III's are rumored to have come with whatever lower intake gaskets GM had in stock at the time. The later ones definitely came with all the bulletproof LIM gaskets. If there's a silver/gray gasket between the head and the LIM, it's the upgraded gasket. If it's black, change it out!
