I am going to start changing the oil for an older family member. She has been taking her van to Jiffy Lube for a long while. What would be a good oil/schedule to change it, to get on the right path? Thanks

HOw many miles, what motor, how many miles per year is it driven, what driving conditions (short trips, long trips, hwy/city miles, weather conditions)?

Sorry, Sorry! The van has 130,000 miles. It drives about 40 hwy miles and maybe 20 city miles a day. I would put it in the severe driving category based on the driver!

We've got an 04' Freestar as well with 130,000 miles on it.
One we have has an olm, trips off right around 5000 miles. Conventional is all it needs.

Based on where you live and the miles driven, I would get a good conventional and change at at 5000 miles. If you are looking for the best bang for the buck, MotorCraft Synthetic Blend is a good quality motor oil at a great price.
