I haven't seen a clean example of that era Explorer in years, they either rusted away or went to C4C in the late aughts

Me thinks a few of the northern folks are missing the fact its a 2 Wheel Drive / Rear Wheel Drive Explorer.
While it appears clean, with some experience trying to sell RWD SUVS or Pickups in the north, its priced high.
Wish the OP all the best in selling it - and I'll admit I haven't price shopped southern used vehicles as of late...

Price drop to $2,950 today.

Be patient it will sell for $3k soon someone is going to need a vehicle to get to work ASAP and she will sell
I did take that into consideration but it has to be at least 3x better than my 94 tbird 4.6L that would get stuck on flat dry grass.
and
that car was fine with some cheap winter tires.. even in blizzard.
Seems serviceable to me except for the failing PCM.
Maybe rig a computer fan to blow on it? I've read of that being done on early P2 Volvos.

Replace the computer and drive it to the SF Bay Area you’ll be able to sell it for $3500 in 15 minutes

Is this on FB Marketplace? 3k for a decent looking SUV will sell in a day if it starts right up and shifts well.

definitely could make someone a good work truck good alternative to a pickup.
That's when I tell people to go to the "Blue Book Store" and buy one then.
The book goes out the window on older vehicles.
I forgot to keep updating on here. I still have this, and it needs to go. The registration renews the end of January, so I really want it gone before then. I have too many cars in the yard. I just don't need this anymore with the kids gone.
Probably the worst time of year to try to sell a vehicle, everyone is broke paying for Christmas stuff.
