This is the third transmission UOA I have done on this car....

Date: 7-28-04/10-28-04/9-14-05

Oil was analyzed by Analysts, Inc. Most recent results on the right-most side.

Chromium: Nickel: Aluminum: 6/6/12 Lead: 2/12/8
Copper: 15/15/12
Tin: 2/3
Silver: 0.1/ Titanium: Silicon: 45/42/26

Water, %VOL: Vis. CS@40C: 33.5/33.7/32.5
TAN: 1.40/1.46/1.40

Note that although the oil has been changed a couple of times, I can only get 2-3 quarts out each time, so the oil wasn't completely changed....

Comments? The lab noted the level of Aluminim in this most recent report, and stated, "Analysis reflects conditions/Values noted for monitoring purposes only. Other test results are satisfactory. Resample at the next scheduled interval".

I'm not terribly worried about it, although I may take another sample sooner than I otherwise would [Perhaps late this fall]....Comments?

I am more familar with Honda/Acura transmission UOA'S but this one looks excellent to me. Hard to get much better in my opinion. You will get a long life from this transmission if you keep these changes up.

benjamming,

It has an internal strainer that can be replaced if you take the pan off. The pan has a drain plug, so I've been simply removing the drain plug to drain the fluid....Do you think the strainer needs to be replaced? According to the manual, a change is not needed before 100K miles...

I changed the screen on my Toyota Cressida at 190,000. It was as clean and the new one I installed. My guess is you will never need the replace the screen with regular service of the fluid.
