This is the third transmission UOA I have done on this car.... Date: 7-28-04/10-28-04/9-14-05 Miles on Car: 10,002/15,007/37,682 Miles on Oil: 10,002/15,007/7,556 Oil Added: None/None/None Oil Used: Toyota Type-IV/Toyota Type-IV/Toyota Type-IV Oil was analyzed by Analysts, Inc. Most recent results on the right-most side. Iron: 11/17/18 Chromium: <1/<1/<1 Nickel: <1/<1/<1 Aluminum: 6/6/12 <----12 was underlined Lead: 2/12/8 Copper: 15/15/12 Tin: 2/<1/3 Silver: 0.1/<.1/<.1 Titanium: <1/<1/<1 Silicon: 45/42/26 Boron: 45/38/48 Sodium: 5/4/3 Potassium: <10/<10/<10 Molybdenum: <5/<5/<5 Phosphorus: 281/284/300 Zinc: 7/6/4 Calcium: 96/88/84 Barium: <10/<10/<10 Magnesium: 1/<1/<1 Antimony: <30/<30/<30 Vanadium: 2/<1/<1 Water, %VOL: <.10/<.10/<.10 Vis. [email protected]: 33.5/33.7/32.5 TAN: 1.40/1.46/1.40 Note that although the oil has been changed a couple of times, I can only get 2-3 quarts out each time, so the oil wasn't completely changed.... Comments? The lab noted the level of Aluminim in this most recent report, and stated, "Analysis reflects conditions/Values noted for monitoring purposes only. Other test results are satisfactory. Resample at the next scheduled interval". I'm not terribly worried about it, although I may take another sample sooner than I otherwise would [Perhaps late this fall]....Comments?

I am more familar with Honda/Acura transmission UOA'S but this one looks excellent to me. Hard to get much better in my opinion. You will get a long life from this transmission if you keep these changes up.

benjamming, It has an internal strainer that can be replaced if you take the pan off. The pan has a drain plug, so I've been simply removing the drain plug to drain the fluid....Do you think the strainer needs to be replaced? According to the manual, a change is not needed before 100K miles...

I changed the screen on my Toyota Cressida at 190,000. It was as clean and the new one I installed. My guess is you will never need the replace the screen with regular service of the fluid.
