I have a 2002 Nissian Altima 2.5L 4cyl with a VTech motor with 135,150 miles. It is a 5 speed, I drive hard and fast, I have to travel a far distance to an from work maybe an hour each way.

I would like to know if the 10w 30w AMSOIL Synthetic Motor Oil will be good for my car. I have to add a quart of oil to my car by 3,000 miles because it is empty. My car dosent leak oil at all but it does burn oil. Also, would I need to add an additive to my oil to help with the burning oil.

I would really like to use this oly becasue it seems to be very good an you dont have to change the oil that often.

PLEASE HELP!

If you have to add that much, I'd probably just go with a cheaper synthetic... However, I know people have run 10w30 in QR's and had no issues. So from that standpoint you're fine.

For example, Napa brand synthetic should cost a lot less. I'd only had the real good stuff like Amsoil if my car did not consume..

I'm on a 2200 mile or so run on GC and I've added maybe 5-7quarts!

doesn't leak, I just factor in the cost just like it was gas, every so often I need to factor in a quart of oil...........

Time for the junkyard or engine rebuild if you are using 5-7 quarts in 2200 miles!!!! A mosquito fogger!!!!

it only really consumes it if I'm hard on it..... I don't feel like replacing rings now, and I don't have money to buy another junkyard engine and fixing it up for use...... maybe in the future for sure!

I just did hear of an older guy today locally who has a brand new from japan 3.2L sho engine, wonder what he wants for it if he would even let it go!
