Hey all,

I need some help with my friend's 2002 GS300 heater. It has 170K miles
Problem is that the heat is only working on the passenger side and not the driver side.

I have posted this problem on 2 Lexus forums and until now nobody has replied back.

If you know anything about these cars, the dual climate control is controlled by servo motors. Most of my research suggests that the servo motor on the driver side is the culprit. We got it out and it seems to be working perfectly. It moves as you change the temperature for the driver side. I tried by hand to move the lever from COLD to HOT but still the air from the driver side is lukewarm at best.

It is definitely no where near 85 when we set the climate control.

Now the A/C will work on both sides with no problem and the heater is working great on the passenger side.

My next step is to check the other 3 servos on the passenger side to confirm they are all working.

More info about the car:
170K miles
Radiator + thermostat replaced
We flushed the coolant last week and will do so again this Monday
Both heater core hoses near the firewall are hot

If you need anything else please let me know.
Can anybody help with any advice or what should we do next?

Thanks in advance!
