I’m posting this in humor because it made me laugh.

Why would anyone buy this? $10K I could understand… I mean barely but these have a weird following and hold their value despite being slow and uncomfortable… but over $20,000???!!!

First time looking at older BOF Toyota truck / suvs?
I have never owned or been interested in owning a Toyota. Like I said due to it being a manual Tacoma I would understand asking $10k although I wouldn’t buy it someone would. Be more than double that? Surely that is insane?

Older no rust trucks with non turbo/GDI/VVT always seem to go for more that one would think but in this case, we're just looking at the present asking price, that truck most likely will sell for 12.

My post because I’m apparently out of touch with “Toyotas never die omg” pricing or the fact they’re asking 20k for that old a truck?

You'd have to have a hole in your head to consider paying $20k for a 25 year old truck with 155k miles.

The only way that asking price makes sense is if it had 155 miles on it.

I'm reminded of the 3rd gen 4Runner I owned from new, for 22+ years. It had the 5VZ-FE V6, R150F 5-speed manual, locking rear diff, factory leather, moonroof, premium sound, optional larger tires, etc, etc. It was a unicorn in the 3rd gen 4Runner world. In the last years I owned it, I would get frequent offers to buy it from random strangers who recognized it for what it was. I finally did sell it to a guy who approached me at a gas station, with an offer too good to refuse. I'll put it this way, the offer paid for most of the cost of a new 5th gen 4Runner TRD ORP.

With a new clutch, perfect maintenance records, new tires, and like new finish, I would pay 20K

this is not it
