I recently acquired a 01 scrambler 4x4 and want to do complete fluid changes on it. I have oil and a filter but need to know what everyone recommends for the transmission, front diff, and the hubs. I’m not buying overpriced Polaris oil. There isn’t a lot of info around on the web about this specific model. I was going to use either 75w90 or 80w90 in the front diff, 0w40 engine oil but still need to know what to use in the hubs and trans. Thank you in advance.

My 1999 Xplorer (should have similar transmission to a scrambler) says 0w-40 for the transmission. That's what I use. For the hubs, get new seals for the plastic cap and use Type F ATF. It works well enough.

While you're in the hubs, replace the armature plates. They aren't that expensive on the jungle website and make a big difference in the 4x4 turning off.

I have a 2000 Polaris Magnum 500. Albeit, I am not 100% sure of the differences but I run 75w90 in both front and rear gear cases. The trans and rear gear case are not a shared sump. I had been running a synthetic ATF in the transmission for years but swapped in some semi synthetic 10w30 engine oil. I run that same ATF in the hubs.

I run 0-40 in my 04 Polaris Ranger. Amsoil ATV/UTV trans fluid in all the other gear boxes except the Haldex front hub. I use their Polaris fluid for that. A qt will last several changes in that.
