If you're going to compensate for something, then know what you're compensating. If the oil temps are getting into the red then something needs to be addressed. What's that? You don't have an oil temperature gauge?
If you're running an engine hard and hot then you need to monitor your temps. If you're running hot bump up your HTHS, if you're cold then lower it.
You're further south than me and your averages are about 6C higher in the summer and 10C higher in the winter. That's enough to make a difference in oil spec. For YOUR location I'd run a good 0w30 year round or maybe Red Line 0w20.
If it was MY car and I was driving it I'd run Red Line 0w30, but I probably don't drive like you do.
