I've (gasp) purchased Fram air filters (and AIR only) for multiple cars now. This place says the orange air filters are fine. So, I'm running them in my friends cars and my 2001 Civic currently. I've used Wix, Honda, Purolator and Fram now and they're all identical.
The orange cans, no chance ever.

I couldn't agree more. And really, their oil filters (except for the one's with cardboard endcaps, which, really do ok for 1k or 2k oci's) are good to. the only thing is why pay more for a FRAM when you could get a better supertech or even motorcraft filter cheaper?

+1 I've never had an issue with the construction their air filters. Reasonably priced and easily obtained.

Now some of the air box designs like the newer model Altima, sometimes make installation a tad tricky ie., getting the outer foam pushed down to snap the box closed. I don't blame Fram for that though, and I've always gotten them installed.

But, like any filter, I take the filter out of the box and check it before I buy.

Thanks for the pics.

Ditto. FRAM Air filters have always done me well. I personally stay away from their oil filters whenever possible though.
