Being that using Stihl and or Echo synthetic 2 stroke oil at work in our weedtrimmers and chainsaws,, and seeing how excellent this oil works,,How come this product cannot be used in a 2 stroke motorcycle (dirtbike) ??
It would work just fine, I have several customers using the Ultra in their 2 cycle bikes. Make sure it's pre-mixed in the gas, don't try to use it as injector oil.
Thanks for the reply,,I'm surprised from what i have researched on here it has never been recommended that those brands of synthetic 2 cycle oil (Stihl-Echo) can be used other than chain saws or weed trimmers
I've used Poulan Pro Synthetic mix in just about everything 2-stroke I have, except for a scooter that required Injector oil.
Never had a problem, and the OPE/Dirt Bike/2-stroke Generator/Motorized Bicycle/etc. didn't care either way. Of course I used it at it's 40:1 recommended mix ratio.
Probably because these oils would be more expensive using them in larger quantities for a motorcycle. There are more economical choices, but if money isn't an object, go for it!
Well cycles are much higher reving and output than OPE so need something other than TC-W3. As I understand it Echo is ISO EGD and JASO FD and these are the highest ratings and the best you can get for high output 2-strokes. So I think it would be ideal.
They all say they are the best. You cannot buy the Shell Advance motorcycle oils in North America as for as I know. Mainly a European or Asia/Pacific product.
I meant to say the Advance Ultra 2 was their best 2T for high perfomance motorcycle applications. It's full synthetic and meets the highest specs. Too bad you can't get them here. Looks like a full line of good 2-stroke oils.
My final question on this would be that both these oils ,(Stihl and or Echo synthetic 2 stroke oil) say for air cooled engines,,,My 2 cycle dirtbike is water cooled,,,,So can this oil be used in a water cooled motor as well?
