My 2 cycle leaf blower works great.
It always starts* and runs perfectly.
It never dies while using it.
It shows no signs of any issue, except:

After using it for a few minutes, If I shut it off and try to restart it a few minutes later, it will not restart until I remove the spark plug and put it back in.
As soon as I unscrew the spark plug and put it back in, it starts with no issue 100% of the time. I have tested this scenario over and over. In fact I usually just keep the spark plug socket and ratchet nearby in case I have to shut it off. I don't think this is related to heat/cooling off as it this procedure fixes it immediately.

The other solution to this symptom is just to put it back and the garage and wait to use it the next day… of which it always starts fine the next day.

Whats the deal? Is it just getting “flooded”?
What’s the solution?

Have your tried a different/new spark plug?

possible a heat soak issue with the spark plug or the coil not working when hot. I'd replace the plug first.

P.S. i assume the airfilter is not plugged up.

Can/do you idle it down before shutting off? Could be dumping fuel in at WOT with ignition cut. Which would/could flood it.

Or maybe getting vapor lock from hot fuel. Taking plug out lets heat escape faster and letting fuel cool.

Just two possible scenarios.

What model of leaf blower is this? Lots of cylinder heads have aluminum threads, so you want to fix the problem before you damage the threads.

First things first, replace the spark plug. Also, check the fuel tank vent. Maybe loosen the gas tank cap before trying to start to see if their is negative or positive pressure in the gas tank. Could be as simple as a clogged fuel tank vent.
