2 brake pads, which to install?

I bought a set of Monroe Ceramics from the local parts house, I used them with luck before. Supposedly, the Monroes habe a higher coefficient of friction rating per the FMSI edge codes. The Monroes are GG.

Rock Auto sent me a new set of Wagner ThermoQuiets which I haven't been happy with, the current set is squealing and grabbing like a mofo when the brakes are quiet but it's now gotten to the point where they're noisy even if they're warmed up. The Wagners are FF.

I'm putting on new rotors anyway, Raybestos Advanced Technology instead of the el cheapo Kragen/O'Reilly ones that are on there now. So, which one should I put in?

Many of the newer Wagner pads have a part # that starts with QC, while the older ones started with PD. Are the two part #s the same? (new vs old)

Both pads are PD numbers, PD576 to be exact.

Nope.

I would love to have G G pads! That is motorcycle pad territory!
They may be a bit rough on rotors if you drive it hard. And they may also be noisy.
But anti squeal sauce can usually fix this, if there is a problem.

So, should I install the Monroes instead? The current ThermoQuiets are noisy and grabby when it's cold.

Many Bendix CT+3 are GG rated.In fact every set so far has been except for one that was GG front and FF rear.

I have not seen GG pads for street cars, except Hawk semi racing ones.
It is good news that they are becoming more common and available!
And what took them so long???

Well, according to Monroe and Ford(for it's Mercury sister), this van calls for semi-metallic pads even though Wagner and most of the aftermarket call for ceramic pads. The local parts house didn't have the Monroe Dynamics or Raybestos Professional Grade semi-metallic pads in stock but they gave me a set of Motorcraft pads for a small charge extra. The Motorcrafts are EE rated and supposedly made by Federal-Mogul. Except for a rotor with freaky run out, the Motorcraft pads work fine - the parts house said bring it in and we'll give you a new one. The bad rotor was made in the US and it didn't have the mill balance and paint like the Chinese one did.
