After 25 years of age, they are legal for sub-45mph roads in NH. Mini trucks. Kei I think is the term.
I‘ve thought of getting one, just an around town beater, but I wouldn’t be able to cross the town. Yet I see enough of them, I suspect their owners aren’t getting hassled—probably smart enou to not drive to often.
Typically top speed of like 65mph, give or take, maybe less.
Looks like a Maryland tag for state government. Like he said, anything over 25 years old can be legally imported. If it has a 25 mph top speed it can be registered here as a low speed vehicle https://mva.maryland.gov/about-mva/Pages/info/27300/27300-66T.aspx and avoid safety inspection.

It was about 13yrs ago, but I had mail ordered a 110cc Chinese import 4-wheeler for the kids to run around with on the property. At the time, all the hard parts weren't bad. The plastics, rubber and soft bits weren't great. I had to go through and check every fastener, use blue loctite on critical stuff and add zip ties and wire loom/hose to some of the wiring to make it a lot better.
In regards to this $2K truck, It had my interest until I saw it was battery powered. Between that and the guy's laugh, I lost interest completely. LOL
Yes I have heard good and bad things about the Chinese imported 4 wheelers, mini bikes and motorcycles. My Clone Honda mini trail 70 125 cc was a really good looking bike but I had a flat tire after about 400 miles. The tube just blew on me for no reason. The transmission was somewhat of a mystery shifter and it was somewhat tricky to find neutral. The bolts were really cheap and the seat bolt was stripped out when it was brand new. The whole bike was really cheap and I couldn't wait to sell it with 800 miles on it. The bike was only about $1300 and my new Honda monkey was $4000 and I guess to make a long story short you get what you pay for. When the guy tried to back up that electric truck and it didn't have enough power to propel itself over the iron packing case immediately made me believe it was severely underpowered. A person would be much better off modifying a 20HP riding lawn mower and putting a license on it.
