A good knife can really help but be careful, many rads. are plastic where the hose is applied and can be damaged by cutting the hose.

The bottom hose appears to be hard to get at, the problem would be getting under the van you cannot get to it from the engine compartment any suggestions?

The whole plastic bumper cover comes off (a series of plastic body screws on the bottom, and 2 very annoying 8mm, I think, screws attaching it to the fenders on either end, and probably a couple others which I don't recall). It's very accessible with it out of the way. That's for a '96 anyway. I just did it to replace my radiator.

I have a 1996 Grand Caravan and teh only problem I had was that I broken the o ring for the drain plug without knowing it. It dripped for a while till I got around to pep boys to get a new plug. Other then that, it was pretty easy

not specific to a caravan, but the lower radiator hose (and upper) usually are stuck pretty good to the fittings. prying with a screwdriver helps but dont gouge the fittings. if i am replacing the hoses anyway i just cut the hose in half so i can twist the ends.
