The FL-1A will fit fine, I've got the Puro Pure One equivalent PL30001 on mine, no clearance problems. I would still stick with a silicone ADBV, though, and the FL-400S is still bigger than the OEM Mopar filter.
 
I wouldn't bother with a 10W30. Pick a 5W30 and run with it. I've literally beaten my trail Jeep to heck and back, including Moab, all on SOPUS syn 5W30's.

I would grab 6qts of Quaker State Ultimate Durability with a Fram super-duper whatever they call it extended interval filter and change it out. Good to go until early summer.


The pan gasket and rear main are pretty easy on Mom's ZJ. I recommend the one piece oil pan gasket from Felpro. Fire and forget on them. They have the cool crush washers so you can't overtighten them (I've done a bunch on 2.5/4.0L/258, with no leaks).
