Try 7.5K....and do a used oil analysis. I'm sure both those oils are capable of longer OCI's.

I wouldn't consider the left side to be clean. There is build up starting to happen in the corner, (the same spot that my 1MZ has build up).

To me, a clean block is one without any kind of build up or discoloration. Just my opinion.

I really want to know if PU is really better at cleaning than Mobil 1 Extended Performance. I have put Mobil 1 Extended Performance into an older Camry and will take the VC off to see the cleaning it has done. Then do another interval with PU to see if its any better. Thanks for the responses!

FYI....both Mobil 1, Pennzoil Platinum and Pennzoil Ultra are rated for 10K....under the right conditions and driving habits.....so 7.5K should not be a streach.

+1. Why mess with success? I have no trouble running my Mobil 1 Extended Performance 6 months and 3800-4300 miles a dumping it right outta there.

Really clean.
A little light varnish, which is harmless.
Toyota sure didn't waste any time or money doing any machining on those areas of that didn't have to have any.
