138K miles and he's asking $3500. It's the LE trim with a 4 cylinder. There's no way I would pay that much for it, but I thought it was an interesting oddity. You don't see many Camry wagons around here.

Might be a good whip for someone suffering somewhere with OBD-II emissions inspections. I wonder about the black rocker panel covering/ paint job, if it's covering rust.

Too bad I don't have FB else I'd be really tempted. [As it is, I might ask the wife to look at it for me.]

Technically that clearcoat is in better shape than the last Camry I had.

Hmmm, if there's no significant rust and parts still available, its a pretty good cheap family hauler, if you can repair the little stuff yourself.
Seats 7 in a pinch, and gets 1-2 less mpg than a 2.5 Outback, but has 40 cuft behind the back seats.
If it was close by I might be tempted to have a look.

Had the wife pull up the pics. Doesn't look bad. The black rockers are a warning, like eljefino says. But the rust over the right rear wheel well is probably from scraping in a garage and not from massive rust from underneath. If only I lived closer.

It would be worth $3500 if it is rust-free and the clear coat wasn't delaminating. The interior actually looks to be in good shape and it is just broken-in at 138K miles.
Hard pass now...more photos have been posted that now show two large dents on the right quarter panel and right corner of the tailgate. Looks like a lot of dings, scrapes and dents due to a careless teenage or elderly driver(s).

He dropped the price by $500 when he added those new pictures, but those new pictures really make it much worse than just peeling clearcoat.

It's where all the used cars are. Craiglist is dead. Consider it a tool. You can even use a fake name.

I went tire shopping, saw a female name. Was a dude. I got catfished!

As for the dings, that's just a meme at this point. /r/camrydents

That one over the taillight will pop out if you put a deflated football behind it, and inflate.

I sorta lost interest when I found out the engine uses a timing belt. Good news is that it’s non-interference, but I really prefer timing chains.

I hear you, but I've done it twice, so what's a third? for me anyhow.

I'm seriously tempted. I have better things to do but it's like 40 minutes from family. But it'd be a 14 hour drive home. I probably would have had the wife send for more info if it wasn't for the black rockers, that just is worrisome. That and... why the heck am I interested in a 30 year old car anyhow?
