could i use a 0w-40 in a 1994 accord with no issues, the manual calls for 5w30 or 10w30. i was thinking mobil 1 0w-40

In the turbo? That would be a good choice. German Syntec would be good too. I'd look at the new Honda HT-06 spec for guidance. However, you have a car with a few miles, and I suppose your tune is something beyond oem. So, rather than the thinner 30 weights, sure...a light 40 or heavier 30 like GC. If you still have consumption, move up to 5w-40, at least.

A custom turbo set-up is one of the most ideal uses for a UOA. For a plain stock car, I could just look at other people's UOAs and generalize. A custom set-up really calls for UOA if you want it to last.

I've used from 0w30 to 15w40 in my '95 Accord. 213,000 miles and still beats the old EPA estimates, so I assume there were no ill effects.

no this is on the 94 its NA, i use pp 10-30 in the turbo. my 91 turbo has about 80000 less miles on it than my 94 NA. ive used 5w30 m1 and pp in the winter and 10w30 in the hotter months. i do have some oil consumption, i was just wondering would a 0w-40 weight or 5-w40 weight oil be ok in my 94.

You want to use a thicker oil in the non-turbo engine? That doesn't make any sense to me.
