1979 Cadillac Deville d'Elegance - New toy

This car came with the optional factory EFI, but it's now sporting an Edelbrock 1406. I'm sure it was converted from EFI to a Q-Jet at some point in it's life, as many of them were, and the current Edelbrock was likely installed when the rebuilt engine went in in 2015.
Looks like a legacy Carter that Edelbrock took over …

Very nice. It's not a big deal but I would fix that differential cover. That would bother me.
Definitely not a huge deal, but I've got 4 quarts of HPL diff lube, and I'm sure this beast could use a differential fluid change. I'll reseal the cover when I do a spill-n-fill.

A ‘77 Olds 98 would’ve had the 403 Olds, or a 350 Olds, or a 350 Chevy, with a TH400.

A 1977 Olds 98 Regency was my first car. Mine had a 350 Olds.
probably the 403, as I said, I was a kid, ( I was in middle school when he traded it in) and only heard it referred to as a 400... 400/403...eh...close enough.

Looks like a really solid car that was well looked after over these many years.
I don't mean to be nasty, but that is an awful color.
