19 hp Kawasaki sputtering

My old JD F510 with a Kawasaki motor in it never even say anything about adjusting the valves for maintenance. My reason for never doing it I guess.....
Chinese engines = new rule book. I was very disappointed that the OHV rocker cover on my TORO (Lonchin) engine didn't have a rubber gasket for easy valve lash checks. That fact and the overapplication of factory sealant just added an hour to a 10 min job.

Gotta read the online manual.

Kawasaki motors have coil failure frequently. Large number listed on Amazon and eBay for sale. I have replaced mine several times, doesn’t matter if OEM or non genuine. Coil gets hot and motor starts cutting out or firing on one cylinder. So check your coil, if checks good check when hot and misfiring. As cheap as they are I would replace and see if issues happen.

John Deere got involved with Kawasaki with their snowmobiles originally. My F510 motor I'm pretty sure was made in Japan. new parts for the motor come from Japan.
