Most recent UOA for my Civic. Entire OCI ran premium Costco gas. Re-filled with 5w30 Kirkland (12qts order from the recent sale with manufacturing date of 4/10). Did cut the filter open and didn't see anything stuck between the pleats. Will continue with 3-3.5k mi OCI.

Got to internet searching the OEM recommended viscosity in your Civic & stumbled across some of the posts on Civic x forum. I see you're over there. 5w-30 is a great choice vs the 0w-20. This one doesn't seem to fuel dilute as much as your 16' it seems?

I’ve been running 5w30 in my civic since probably 20k mi or so. Never seen an increase on the dipstick, and UOA measured FD was rather moderate. Not sure if it’s my driving patterns, or the fact that the car is built in UK, but fuel dilution never seemed to be too much of a problem in my case

Civic built in UK? Is that where they import them from now? I figured they're still made in USA.

Hatchbacks in LX trim with manual 6 speed were built in Honda’s UK plant (no longer exists) and shipped to US. I had to wait a couple of months for the color, trim and transmission that I wanted

Ah, so a rarer manual LX trim was offered as an imported model. Cars getting less buyers these days may have decided the shutdown?.

I was hesitant to use this in my 22 Civic 1.5t because it doesn't have the GF6a certification from what I saw, only GF5.

Any concerns about this?

It does have GF6a. But even if it didn’t, what the concern? I’ve use many different oils with different specs over the past 8yrs, I don’t think there’s any meaningful difference

Interesting, swore when I looked at the large jugs (no longer listed) they were GF5. Your oil is dated 4/22/25 so not sure if this is a recent change. This looks to be the label I saw
