Quite right you are, I didn't read the first page..

So, fix it up proper and have a reliable daily for a lot less than the cost of all the oil it'll drink as long as its in service.
 
I like the 106 because the fuel consumption is very good, i don't like it though because it has no power steering , and don't worry i'm taking good care of the Capri !, regarding the first question i guess i'll stick a 20w50 in and see how it does
 
I am far from a bodybuilder but I don't remember the lack of power steering disturbing for cars like the 106. I absolutely don't remember what the steering system does look nor if you have easy access to components but regreasing (how?) the steering "assembly" had a wonderful effect on the smoothness of my grandmother's 205...no power steering too, and she's 93!

Maybe you should have a look? Just saying
