Has anyone dealt with such a code. The cars runs ok but the dpf light is on. I tried to force a regen but the temp sensor downstream of the DPF won’t go above 91 Celsius in order to do a forced regen it requires to hit 120 Celsius. I haven’t found a good diagnostic flow chart either. Soot mass is 29g for the dpf. It has the p050e code in it. All help is appreciated.

I would refer you to TDIclub.com where you're sure to find really knowledgeable, helpful TDIers.

Looks like the error code is "Exhaust Temperature too Low after Cold-Start". You won't be able to force a regen if the exhaust system isn't properly heated. Is there a way you could force a regen while running the car out on the highway? I assume you've tried clearing the code and it keeps coming back.

Another possibility is that an exhaust temp sensor is wonky and reporting bad info.

Sounds like you have a bad Temp sensor. The downstream temp sensor of the DPF is used to control the regeneration process of the DPF. With it reading 91C, I doubt it would let you start the regeneration process.
