After 6 years I'd say yes. Over on the F150 forums many are making it to 150k without issues. 99k and 65k on my EBs (one car one truck) and no engine issues other than a knock sensor in the '10 which warranty paid for.

As far as oils, I run Pennzoil Platinum in mine. Seems to be doing fine.

I've used PP, Quaker State Ultimate Durability, and Motorcraft blend in mine ... All have done as expected.

There's a guy on EcoBoost.net posting pictures of his odometer at over 300k miles. Said he ran Motorcraft oil and changed when the IOLM told him to.

I'm running Pennzoil Gold Dexos in my 3.5 EB at 3k mile intervals because I'm paranoid about fuel dilution.

I have a '14. It ran on dealer MC until 20k miles. I run whatever Full Synthetic is on sale. Next up is Valvoline Synpower. Mobil has an almost BOGO with that rebate. I'm good for the next two years with SYN. I change it in the 20% range.

All oil filyers flow well with cold oil ,,, the bypass opens up !

There's a guy on one of the F150 sites that has one with 250,000 miles on one most of it with a 9500 lb skid steer trailer. He did say it's more tired than his 5.0 trucks and gets worse mileage with the trailer. Personally for that app I would get an F250 with the 6.2 for almost the same price.

I've actually found the F150 owners with the 5.Slow are the ones who love to brag and let you know that they're getting 1 mpg better than your Eco-Boost.

I actually test drove two near identical (same model and year) F150's with each engine and I can honestly say the EB is a better truck engine. The Coyote V8 is similar to Toyota's in that because it is a 4 valve engine you have to get the rev's up before the real power comes on. This is common with 4 valve engines UNLESS you force induce them. It sounds nice, but the EB pulls so much better from much lower in the revs.

I've owned a Silverado with a 5.3 and I rented a Ram 1500 with a 5.7 for a few days...both push rod 2 valve engines and both better V8's for trucks than the Coyote. The 6.2 V8 Boss 2 valve (SOHC)is a much better truck V8 but except for the 2010-2014 SVT Raptor you have to go to a F250.

You could get the 6.2 for a year or two in the Lariat and King Ranch... I have only ever seen one though...

Yea a guy down the road had one. It seemed like it had a lot of power. I saw him pulling a 20'+ enclosed trailer more then a few times. He now has a Duramax.

I can vouch for the 6.2L. Really awesome engine. We had a 2011 F-350 6.2L & sold it to an employee with 145K on it. Still runs like a charm & he has 160K or more on it now. My dad drives the 2012 F-250 6.2L with 84K or so on it now & never any issues. We expect many years & miles from the 2015 as well. It kind of sucks that the 6.2L isn't more readily available in the F-150, but the EcoBoosts are powerful.
