Hey guys.I am some what new to having a truck and I might be doing some hauling in a few days.

It is time to change the oil and I am unsure if I should use 10W30 or 10W40 especially considering hauling.

The truck is a 93 Dodge with the 318 and auto trans. and 167,000 miles.

When you said 318, I assumed you had flat bottom lifters; you'd need the 15W-40 for that. But for 1993,
you might have a 5.2L V8 with a roller valve train - in which case a 10W-30 would be fine in the winter.
