So the 1997 is a half ton It is 6 feet 4 inches wide, 19 feet from bumper to bumper. The hitch is the same height off the ground as the 2017.
The 2017 is a 1 ton it is 6 feet 7 inches wide and 22 feet from bumper to bumper. It does have a deeper bed and it does sit higher. The picture makes the green truck look really small. They are actually sitting on the exact same size wheels and tires.

New flashlight the E4k trees are aprox 200ft away and I'm holding light as high as possible but its more of a flood light.

the light artifact in the first picture is light from a cabin window and its blurry I am standing in the same spot for both photos.
