Yes the iPhone definitely hold their value.. the premium galaxy s series phones do a decent job at holding value as well.. I don't favor one over the other and maybe one day I'll be back with the iPhone.. I have a 5 yr old Samsung tablet and just find it easier to toggle between both the phone and tablet since they're both android os.

My first purchase after the trade in was the a21 which is a slightly better device over the a11... "has a bit more ram and nfc" however there was an issue with that device staying active on AT&T.. AT&T said it had to do with being an unlocked device I just think it was defective. Anyways best buy took it back and I went with the a11 and called it a day. I'm happy nice bright vivid display great battery and apple music works via the playstore.
in the end, its all about the ecosystem Apple vs Samsung; Apple system is more optimized for a long run and it is simple to use; also I have other electronics that are part of the same ecosystem si decided long time ago to stick to it; now to switch from one to another is a major hustle for me

I do not consider myself a tech. geek by no means but i'm familiar with Apple now after all these years; I had this iP8+ for 3 years, it worked flawlessly while in my possession but with the new Apple design ahead, I land on XS Max model for time being, and that's perfectly fine with me as I really do not need latest and greatest

these two tonight found a better home
