My dad had a 69 Road Runner, 440 Magnum, pistol grip shifter, Plum Purple.
He also had a 70 Super Bee, 440 Magnum (came with a 383 Magnum), 3 deuces, Air Grabber hood, pistol grip shifter, Dark Metallic Green with the white Bumble Bee stripe across the trunk onto the quarter panels. Both had black interiors.
I was only 9 years old when he had them, but they were a blast to ride/race in them!
Nice pics '53! They brought back A LOT of memories.

I can remember as far back as 5 years old when my dad raced his 55 and 57 Chevy Gassers at Laplace Dragstrip in Laplace, La.
At the age of 5 I got to go down the 1/4 mile strapped into the fiberglass seat in his 55 wearing my Saints football helmet. He had so many classic muscle cars and hot rods. I wish he had taken pics but that wasn't important to him back then.

They had a Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth dealership in the muscle car era … was not old enough to drive … but had fun in whatever he brought home (he’d always rev it up - I’d head that way) …
