Napa Gold air and oil filters.

1 qt make up oil added.

Schaeffer's Supreme 7000 5W-30 SN.

I am not firmilar with Schaeffer.... But thats alot of sodium, hopefully not a anti freeze issue.

Everything else is fantastic , keep it up.
 
Looks excellent for a GM 5.3 liter. Those wear metals are very good for that engine. Nice job! Thanks for posting a Schaeffers sample!
 
Thanks, I think so too. I have been using Schaeffer's in our small fleet for several years now. I will try to post up some more right off.

Very nice report. Any idea how many engine hours? Police service often involves a lot of idling.

Maybe I am having a brain cramp this morning, but what is "Sb"?

Antimony? I think schaeffers uses it...

Typically a run of this length would include 240-300 hrs of just idle time.

Yes, Sb is antimony. It was out of the gas oils for a while, but they have apparently brought it back for SN.

RD there should be a function in the DIC where you can display (and reset if you want) engine hours--that way you would know for sure

All of our GM fleet trucks that have a DIC can display engine hours.

I am unaware of a reset feature, though.
