1 Year and just 33 hours on oil - Change? Mitsubishi 4G64 2.4L Engine

I would usually say "Change it". Then I realized that I change my lawnmower oil every two years. I put about 30 hrs on it each year, for a total of about 60hrs over the two years.

I change my generator oil every few years unless I have an extended power outage and rack up some hours. My reasoning for having low-hour oil in the generator is that I don't want to mess with it when I need to use it. Power outages around me usually go for a few hours up to a day or two. I don't want to mess with changing oil when I need the generator. I'll change it after power has been restored.

So what…. Don’t change the oil?

Oil doesn't go bad just sitting in the sump. Nor will water in and of itself cause acidity, that takes the mixed sulfur oxides from combustion plus heat.
