How many Oil manufacturers warranty their oil passed 1 year? None...

Oil sitting in an barley used/unused engine builds up containments. How does the OP know the oil is fine without conducting a UOA?

Change the oil and filter...

Generally no it does not. "Contaminants" are the result of the products of combustion, especially when combined with water. Yes you can get a bit more moisture in the oil due to temperature changes but without the adjunct of combustion products the TBN will not degrade nor will there be additional particulate added to the oil.

True, and a good highway run will take care of the moisture build up.
 
Yeah, must be topped up 2 quarts/month and she's changing that filter when … ?

The oil in a high consumption engine is like grandpa's axe. Dad changed the handle and I changed the head, but it's still grandpa's axe …
