good afternoon all. currently using qs 10w30 in the f150. Since Iowa winters get down to the negatives, I am thinking about switching to M1 AFE 0w30 on the next change, and going back to Qs in the summer. opinions? I woild rather not use a 20 wt. Thanks

The winter and summer oil thing isn't really necessary in modern cars with today's oils. Just pick what you want and run it.

Try the 0-30 year round. I am running M1 0-20 year round in the Duratechs and it seems to be holding up very well in the near 100F temps we are having now.

Whatever QSUD 10w30 can do, M1 AFE 0w30 can do it too, and more.

0w30 and 10w30 are effectively the same when it's warm...so no need to change.

+1. Just pick your favorite 5w30 and go with it. Whatever synthetic you can get a deal on would be fine.
