evening guys, i have a question i just picked up an 08 m35x. I am in the process of changing all the fluids and read the transfer case needs matic d. is there a good replacement for it? In the tranny im using maxlife, the diff's im using supertech 75w90, power steering the manual said nissan psf or equivalent. i was thinking of using maxlife atf in that also, good idea? but i cant see a good alternatve for the transfer case. any suggestions? thanks

Matic D is basically Dexron III/Mercon ATF so IMO use the MaxLife ATF there too.
MaxLife should even say on the back of the container that it is suitable for Matic D.
Previously, I used Mobil 1 Syn ATF in my Nissan hydraulic P/S systems so again, I would say that MaxLife there as well.

I have an '08 G35X - underneath our vehicles are identical. Whatever you use for the transmission, use the same stuff in the transfer case. I use Castrol Import Multi-vehicle in the transmission, transfer case, and power steering.
