08 Dodge Caravan SXT 4.0

08 Dodge Caravan SXT 4.0 L v6 oil recommendation 110k. The person I am possibly purchasing this vehicle from runs 10w30 Castrol any suggestions? Is this motor easy on oil?

10w-30 might be a bit thick at start up if you experience an actual winter but I think its fine for summer use.
As far as oil recommendations just pick one you like. If conventional then 5000 mile intervals would be fine,if syn then 10000 miles should be fine.

10,000 mile OCI on an engine with 110,000k..

it appears that the 4.0 calls for 10w30. (according to amsoil's website) the 3.3 and 3.8 take 5w-20. easy on oil. the motor should last a long time. change the transmission fluid if it has not been changed. (use only ATF+4) and a coolant change. they had a problem with the rear condensers leaking - but its due to salt corrosion - which should not affect you. I've had lots of electrical issues with mine and a power steering whine that can be resolved by changing the reseviour bottle. (the filter in the bottle is too fine of a mesh and restricts fluid flow when its hot)

I have a 2010 and really like the 4.0. The manual still calls for 10w30, but I have been using 5w30 and very happy with the results so far(36K miles).
