These Si's are sweet for their class and love to rev. However, even this engine will have more wear if always driven this way. Oil burning, leaking seals and lower compression is not uncommon when driven in this manner.
When it wears out, buy another one. Not trying to turn this into a rant but I cannot understand the rationale of people who buy performance cars and drive them slow.
I feel the same. I drive it like I stole it every day of the week. Doesn't burn anymore oil then ave for this type of engine. Power numbers @ 100k match those with similar mods but with 20k on the clock. Maybe @ 200k it will be a different store but a bottom end engine swap is $500 away from continued fun for another 100k
