What's up, Shawn!?! Long time ...
Typically boring Dmax. Yawn ...
How much better can a UOA get?
Some GM vehicles, Dmax in particular, will occasionally see a Cu spike, often attributed to the oil cooler. As long as it settles back down, there is nothing horrid going on.
What's going on there Dave?!
Yep, a typical ho-hum nothing wrong DMax UOA. I was really excited to see the results from this UOA since it's been such a long time that I've sampled.
By the way, what's the TBN of a virgin sample of Rotella T6? Was curious to gauge that against my current TBN numbers.
As I recall the TBN virgin is around 10? but that's based on a Blackstone test. OA may not use the same testing protocol, so a point or more difference isn't a big deal. Overall, plenty of life left in your lube!
Really stackin' up the miles, eh?
