Saw the Snap On tools truck on the way to work. 0412 SNAPPY the contact mobile phone no plastered along the side seems pretty neat I'm interested in hearing from our US/Canadian friends where Snap On ranks in Americam manufactured tools quality wise?

IMO.....snap-on and MAC make the best mechanics tools around. They are just too expensive for me.

On top quality wise, but very expensive. I have some old Williams and Proto tools that are more industrial in quality, but not as pretty as Snap-On. The finish is like jewelry.

Just get some Craftsman, if you have a Sears down under....they are good quality and guaranteed for life and price if very competitive.

Ditto what Jimbo said. I've got some Snap-On wrenches and a socket set. Nice stuff, the socket wrench handle is a piece of artwork, but also very expensive. I think they still offer a lifetime warranty. If you visit one of their mobil showrooms, load-up your wallet first.
