We brutalized this oil for almost double our regular OCI. Seeing the new larger oil cooler in the copper numbers. Very happy with the Amsoil Air Filter....KN had Silicon over 20 and these last two UOA's reflect that cut in half.
First UOA numbers here are Blackstone. 2nd is Terry Dyson.

You can see the fuel dilution is doubled for the PP 10-30. We have a rich tune on her right now. Get a much better run out of her running about 20% richer and with a colder plug.

Sarge,
The fuel didn't necessarily double b/c Blackstone's fuel % is a calculated value from open cup flashpoint testing. Dyson uses FTIR for fuel % which is more accurate. So, you're not comparing apples to apples.

TBN or TAN #s?

Well we did richen the A/F for sure and went with a colder plug for the PP run. And yes Dyson gave me a TBN of 4.4...Blackstone gave me no TBN.

PP appears to be quite resistant to fuel dilution, a nice quality to have. I'm glad I stocked up a while ago!

Do you drag race this thing? Track use?

Yes we run the 1/4 mile @10:88 et 131mph trap....she is street legal....massive modifications....lot of fun to drive....that Stroker motor is brutal on oil for sure....I'm like Patman said a few post back....after all the "boutique" oils....a plain old off the shelf performs the best.....Here she is....

Do you have any dyno numbers for that car?

Yes...many in various configurations ( heads/cams/nitrous/blowers/)....as she sits we are putting over 600 RWTQ to the ground and right at 600 RWHP...very streetable and driveable....

What other oils were run and how does this PP compare?

Amsoil 0-30 High wear metals
Rotella 15-40 not bad...but not near as good as the PP.
RP better than the two above but as you can see not as good as the PP.
Broke her in on Castrol GTX 10 -30. Even for a brand new engine had lower wear metals than with the Amsoil 0-30. Go figure

Terry has us on this 10-30 PP and we are not complaining at all. We will just run this batch to 500 miles versus the 800 miles and we have swapped to dual Amsoil oil filters from the dual NAPA Gold filters. I am very happy with the piston and ring wear numbers from this run of PP 10-30. Non Existent. And getting this stuff off the shelf for $4 per quart or BOGOF makes us feel guilty

Yeah TSO was never all that good of an oil.
