Well here it is, my first UOA. What do you think? I think i'm wasting good oil... I was always a 3mon-3,000mi guy but, I might go 7,500 or 7.5months. I also want to try PP 5w20. Do you guys see anything i'm missing? What about the lead streak? Thanks for the help. This is turning out to be a addicting hobby.
(I'm running Honda air and oil(filtech) filter and Mobil1 5w20)

Here is what Black Stone had to say:

GREG: Heat, humidity, salt air, short trips...sounds like the makings of poor wear, but your Honda isactually looking great. It's handing the environment well, and most metals read right around averages. Theonly thing higher was lead, and this could easily be from a particle streak through the bearings. If so, it willdrop next time. The TBN read 4.3, which is still a strong reading. The oil was in good shape physically,
containing no moisture, fuel, or signs of coolant. The air and oil filters are working well too (see silicon andinsolubles). Nice Civic. Try 5500 miles next time.

a bit off topic but do you post on forumshawaii? everyone there seems to have a 3K/3month oil change philosophy.

Lots of TBN left so don't worry about pushing it to 5,000mi/6 months.

Si is bit high for the miles, so the lead could easily be a particle from that. Not anything to worry about at this level, though.

As you said, oil could easily go 7500 miles.

Stick to the M1 it's working for you, take it out to 5-7K then UOA it like said above, yea your wasting good oil...

Couldn't have said that 2 months ago. But this is a nice little UOA. PP 5W-20 and 5W-30 go EXCELLENT in these cars, also.
