I switched to a the larger size 3950 Supertech. Is there any difference other than the larger size?

Hello fellow TL'er.

I have been looking for an oversized filter for my TL. M1-105 is oversized, but not found in CanuckLand. Amsoil make one but they are very pricey, even more than K&N HP-1004 (regular size), which I only get on sale. I dont know the Supertech. I dont yet have the Carquest or Napa numbers for an oversize for the TL and my GM minivan.
As long as the gasket/tread size is correct, any additional oil in the system helps..

The filter element is larger.

I run the 3950 on my TL and it works well.
