We tend to find high wear and silcon in new engines such as your SAAB. The fact that we didn't find either here shows that your engine is wearing in quite nicely and has no mechanical problems to speak of. We did a little fuel in the oil, which is also a common find in new engines. Its typically there because the rings are still seating. It has lowered the viscosity a bit, but we think the fuel will disappear and the viscosity will return to normal in the next sample. Feel free to run your oil longer.

Pretty amazing. The only possible criticism would be it sheared down to boarder line 20 wt. But with those wear numbers..who cares.

I think I remember seeing this oil starts out at 9.5 cSt . It's between 9.3 - 9.4 now so really not bad at all .

A heck of a motor oil for around 4 bucks a quart .... a very nice Ford modular engine oil for me although I still have some of the ELF brand left to use before switching to this newer Mobil made 0w-30 .

Looks like Saab has a nice motor there as well

Yeah, it's actually the latest iteration of GM's 2.0L/2.2L Ecotec engine, with a turbo. I thought I heard somewhere that Pontiac will be using this configuration in something?

(Or maybe I'm on drugs?
